The notation “oz” refers to how much a square yard of the particular vinyl or mesh weighs.
For example, 10 oz vinyl refers to vinyl that weighs 10 oz per square yard.

If you want your load covered with tough, heavy duty tarps designed to stand up to the elements and typical working environments, we have the right options for you.
A Trison Tarp is heat sealed or welded, double stitched, reinforced at wear points, seamed and hemmed.
Our tear resistant vinyl tarps are made with waterproof vinyl that is more flexible in cold temperatures – we have customers that insist on using only Trison Tarps since they can handle the cold temperatures much better than other options.

Trison Smoke Tarps – also called Nose Tarps – are meant for covering the top, front of a load and protecting it from road debris, or exhaust from the smokestacks.
For example, if carrying a load of PVC sewer pipe, a bit of water on the load isn’t going to hurt it so the load typically doesn’t need tarping.
But it is good practice to put a smoke or nose tarp on the load to keep it clean of soot/exhaust and other debris.
Check out our Smoke Tarp selection here.
We also provide a full range of cargo control equipment like chain binders, winch straps, ratchet straps, winch bars, and more for your full suite of flatbed trucking accessories and equipment.
Bee Hauling Tarps are built in a very similar fashion as Steel or Lumber Tarps, but are made with Mesh instead of Vinyl.
There will typically be D-ring rows, grommets around the hem, and an end flap.
We are happy and grateful to participate in protecting the bee population by providing top quality bee nets or bee hauling tarpaulins in your desired configuration.
We’d love to speak to you via phone or email and help you with your bee hauling tarp needs!

Dump Trailer Tarps are basically the same as those used for Dump Trucks, but longer.
Whereas a dump truck tarp might get up to 24 feet long, and dump trailer tarp could be 32 feet or even 53 feet.
They are made with one of our mesh selections, with all wear points reinforced with heavy duty vinyl and double stitching.
If necessary, our usual #4 stainless steel grommets can be installed as well.
We can accommodate all sizes, and can take care of custom orders for everything from your bumper pull dump trailer to a full size 53 foot walking floor trailer.
Cable system tarps are best made out of mesh.
When made with vinyl, these types of tarps are very prone to getting blown off of trailers in high winds.
A Trison cable system tarp is made of mesh, and each bow is completely encased in a vinyl pocket to increase the life of the tarp.
There are a few different widths of tarps, and this depends on the type of bow used in the cable system.
The options are Flat Bow, 12” Rise Bow, and 18” Rise Bow.
There are occasionally a couple different widths of 12” bow as well for certain types of trailers.
The tarp is fastened to the intermediate bows with zip ties.
Usually the tarp is fastened to the front bow with rivets or screws through the front hem.
This is our preferred way of fastening the tarp to the front bow (vs a pocket to hold the bow).
The rear bow is usually a double width bow; the double width allows the bow a bit more structural strength so it doesn’t tip forward under the tension of the tarp.
A rear flap is also included in this type of tarp in most cases.
If the system is comprised of flat bows, or there’s a rear shield, a flap isn’t necessary.
Trison Side Roll Tarps are the heaviest duty in the industry across North America.
Our unique process involves reinforcing every possible point where the tarp contacts the trailer edges, the bows, or the front or rear cap.
We make the tarps out of a high quality 22 oz Vinyl that is made in Germany; the reinforcements are all made out of a very thick and heavy duty 40 oz vinyl that is hard to cut with even a brand new pair of scissors.
We have specific tools for cutting the 40 oz vinyl because it is so tough.
Trailers needing side roll tarps can come in various configurations, such as having a different number of bows in the system, different pipe diameters for the roll pipe, different fixed pipe diameters, center pipe or no center pipe or multiple center pipes, center straps, drain holes (for flat top walking floor type trailers), and other variations.
We offer a range of Truck Tarp System parts as well, and feel free to visit the corresponding links below:
There are several ways to protect your tarps to ensure you are getting maximum return on your investment and have long lasting tarps.
Tying the tarp down well is critical.
Any loose piece that flaps in the wind can cause that portion of the tarp to fail in as few as one single load. A sufficient quantity of rubber straps is critical!
Ensuring that the tarp is completely tied down with no flapping pieces, will greatly lengthen the service life of any given tarp.
Using corner protectors to soften sharp corners is a great way to extend the life of your tarp as well.
Sometimes even using carpet scraps to put over awkward shaped parts of loads is a good idea; or using cheap utility tarps to take the brunt of a sharp edge and putting the vinyl tarp over that can also be a solid way to go.
For truck tarp repair, we offer an adhesive, very strong patch kit here.
Simply cut the adhesive patch material to size, clean your tarp in the area it will be applied, and stick on.
Alternatively, buying HH 66 Cement and a 25 sq foot piece of tarp fabric in the weight and color of your existing tarp can be a good option as well.
